MAF & MAP??

someone told me that even though my car is a MAF system i also have a MAP sensor.....is this true? i was under the impression that you either have one or the other on these cars

You have a MAF sensor, then a Manifold Air Temp sensor under the plenum if I recall correctly, not a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. MAF/MAT and MAP/MAT.

yeah i know about the MAF/MAT, but never a MAP, so after i heard this i went on rock auto and sure as s*hit the not only have a sensor, but a pigtail too. for an 86 TPI 5.0......i was almost in shock
