bad egr symptoms

Can a bad egr cause my car to run lean, burn raw fuel and also burn fuel twice as much as normal? let me know if it can and what other symptoms it can also give you?

You question is one of contradictions :-) An EGR that is leaking or stuck open could make it run lean and idle poorly. But it won't cause it to burn twice as much fuel. I'd look at your injectors. See if the pressure drops quickly when you turn the key off.
