running stock memcal on modified 305

My question is, I have a modified 305 that I want to put my TPI set up on, will it still run "ok"?

The engine it self is a stock TBI 305 out of a 92 camaro RS. I have put 70's model 1.94 valve heads on it, and a fuel injection cam. I'm just wondering if the computer will make up the difference, or is that too much modification to run a stock memcal?

I have a prom burner and some blank chips I can burn. It would just be easier for me, for now, until I get a cheap laptop, to just run a stock chip. Otherwise, I will have to just do trial and error, to set up a good chip. I'm not worried about getting the most power out of the engine, I just would like to get a little better gas mileage than what I am getting now.

I'm only getting somewhere between 6-10 mpg now depending on how much city versus high miles I drive.

Thanks for your help

Richard
