My 86 Trans Am needs a new alternator, its a 305 TPI with a digital dash, so I understand it needs higher amps than the average bird. The guy at the Autozone had no idea what he was talking about and kept insisting 86s didn't have digital dash and should have TBI...so he was no help, does anyone know how many amps I need?

After that experiance I'll buy it at Napa...
