New to TPI - Help with MODS

Well I traded away my Mustang for an '87 GTA with a 350 TPI. Overall, the car runs pretty good.. It has a bit of a high idle... It already has headers, exhaust, and a 3.73 gear.. Thats it!!

What are the best bang for your buck mods out there for my car.. I do plan on installing my MSD 6 AL and my NOS kit....

Any and all info is greatly appreciated.

Look into a stall. A Vigilante 2800-3000 stall would be nice choice. Biggest bang for the buck in an automatic car. After that, traction mods.

You should already be there with what you have right now and mid low 13's with a stall. After that pullies, a tune, and some intake mods.

Re: New to TPI - Help with MODS

What kind of headers and exhaust does it have? The 3.73 may be hurting you more than helping you.3.42 is as much as you should need on a tpi engine.Give it a good full tune up and get get a scanner or a laptop to dattalogg so you can see whats going on.Stall, intake mods. With a properly functioning stock ignition system it will be fine.I`ve seen a 125shot put a bone stock 350 tpi in the 12`s.
