Well if you can spray starter fluid in it and it will start than that would indicate to me a fuel delivery problem. Ide start by checking out the fuel pressure.

Sounds like a classic case of a bad starter solenoid. Go get yourself a new starter. They are about 40 bucks. When the starter gets hot after driving for awhile it becomes heat soaked and if the solenoid is bad it will not let the car start again until it cools back down or may even work intermittently when the car it hot. Very common.

if it cranks over but does not start its not the starter solenoid. The solenoid only engages the starter. The OP said it fires up on starter fluid, so how can you say its the solenoid. If you have multec injectors ohm check them, I bet you have a shorted one. They should read 16ohms. If any are below 10 thats your problem.

Also check the fuel pump relay for the 2 sec at key on, if the relay is bad then you are running off the oil pressure switch. When cold oil pressure at cranking speeds is high enough to engage the fuel pump, when hot it is not. When you spray then when the motor fires the oil pressure rises and all is well again.

This is a backup system and the main (FP relay) is likely bad.

He did not state whether it cranks or not. Just that it won't start. He needs to clarify. As I mentioned the soliends can be intermittent. Spraying the starter fluid and the start once may have only been conquincidence. We need more info to diagnosis but it still sounds more starter related then injection related based on the limited information we have been provided.
