I have a stock 1989 350 TPI. I was wondering what would I have to to get around 400 hp from this engine? Bore, stroke, heads, cam, headers, bigger throttle body, also what would be the best drive train so that I could still drive on the street and hiway? All help will be greatly appreciated. Ported Vortec or an off the self GM Fast Burn head, LT4 Hot Cam and a Holley/Weiand Stealthram intake manifold setup is a proven 400 plus combo.

You can just install the intake only on your car right now and get a soild 50hp. Also I see that you are new. Please update your Cars year, type, engine, transmission, info in your profile so we can better help you out in the future when you have questions.

 

I would add a complete exhaust system to this setup. 1-3/4" headers and a cat-back system.
