Removing O2 Sensor
Removing O2 Sensor
I have a quesiton about removing my O2 sensor located on my exhaust manifold.
The sensor has a single wire attached and my quesiton is how is the wire attached? Is it a plug which is pressed on? Need to remove the wire to get the socket on the sensor.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Removing O2 Sensor
You can't use a regular socket. You need an 02 sensor socket. It's extra deep and has a slot cut up the side to slip the wire thru. About $10 at the local parts store.

Re: Removing O2 Sensor
the wire itself is attatched to the sensor, but there should be a little plug/connector a few inches from the sensor (up the wire) that you can unclip and free the o2 sensor. You might need the O2 socket, or regular wrenches if you can get it from below...
