wont run unless I keep it at 3000rpm...

So, I replaced my stock runners on my 5.7 TPI with accel runners and while I was at it I stuck a quarter in the top of the FPR as alot of guys said that might help out a little. After everything was installed the engine wouldn't stay running unless I revved it up to 3000 rpm's or so. If I took my foot off the gas it would die instantly. I assumed it was a vacuum problem so I retightened every bolt. Same problem. So I took it all apart today to try and put it baqck stock and when I opened the FPR no gas ran out as it did the first time. The car has been sitting for a couple weeks without running at all. Anyone have any ideas on what my problem could be? Is it fuel related? By the way, the car ran just fine before I swapped the runners. It is an 89 GTA and everything else is stock. Thanks in advance.
