305 decision help
I have an 88 trans am with a 305tpi I want to know weather to go with a siemized 350tpi intake manifolds and runners with fuel rails or go with a stealth ram intake kit with fuel rails and injectors. Also if anyone has put a steath ram kit on a mostly stock 305tpi what kind of gains came out of it. Thanks

Re: 305 decision help
Really i wouldnt recomend eather. Reason being the factory TPI design was built around the 305 so on a stock 305 youll see no improvements with aftermarket runners and with something like the stealth ram i think youll actually see a loss because the steath ram is designed for higer RPMs on say a 350 on a 305 it would be overkill and designed to perform in an RPM range nothing else about your motor is designed to work in. This means youll sacrafice low end torque to gain no appreciable gains in high end hp. If we were talking about a 350 or a well modded 305 things would be different but in this case its alot of money that would have been better spent elsewhere.
