Accel injector Bottom line
I would like people to post their problems with accel fuel injectors for use on 350 TPI engines rangeing from 86-92.
If these injectors really have a bad track record than lets improve these forums by having some more background and reviews just on these. Lets here about your injector troubles and trouble shooting woes.
Now for mine. I talked with my prom programmer about getting proper sized injectors which was a small task to get the points I needed. I really only needed OEM 22# injectors to run my engine up to 350HP, but wanted 24# incase I grew into more HP above that level. Since he was the programer and I wanted asurance I didn't run into problems with the 24's and my new chip. I showed him some accels that I finally decided to order after lots of headache.
My programer replied about those injectors saying I would have been better off using teh 22#'s since he has had ALOT of problems with those as they range from 20lbs to 28lbs. I looked further on this site and found more posts saying they were garbage. I canceled my order for those and had the vendor tell me "well we send out 2-3 sets of these a day, every day, and only 1 of them had been sent back and replaced under warranty in the past 6 months, BUT ABSOLUTLEY NO PROBLEM, just refuse the delevery to void sale and a full refund. That made me want to just use those, but I can't over look reviews saying the same thing in different areas.
Thoughts, lets hear some stories, and keep people from running into headaches. I'm sure we'll get some stories about how good they have worked as well. I want to hear them all

if you are interested, there is a good video on youtube by FIC that shows the spray patterns... that alone should help you see what the real difference is between the accel and bosche type injectors. each has their application... its a matter of knowing when to use which type.

Yeah that video is very convincing.My problems are like a couple other guys have posted.I have a knock issue I cannot diagnose.datalogged,changed parts,lowered timing in chip to stock.others have said they had knock issues that went away when they got rid of the injectors.I will know in a few weeks when I upgrade my intake an go with bosch III injectors
