i have a first fuel injection setup and the car runs decent but the idle always creeps up between 1500 and 1800 when driving. If i stab the throttle slightly, the rpms drop to about 900. Then as soon as i accelerate again and back off the rpms stay high again. I tap the throttle again and the rpms stay down until i drive off again. It also does it in park. I've checked for vacuum leaks and can't find anything. I'm pretty sure it's either the iac or the tps. Everything else seems fine. I don't have a scanner and i read about checking the tps but it faces towards the back not like a stock tpi setup which faces the front(radiator) so there's no room to stick a voltmeter in the tps. Any ideas?

 

i forgot to mention, i've already backed off on the idle set screw and it does'nt keep the idle from rising. I'm sure it's not vacuum related because a simple tap on the throttle corrects the idle.

 

i'm starting to pull my hair out on this. I'm desperate!
