Help me on my upper end re-build

Already have TPI in my car, but one of the heads is cracked at the fan sensor, so I plan on a minor rebuild here. My goal is 300 hp at the fly...I'm fairly sure I am there now, or damn close. It is 99% use intown so torque is also a factor.

Current:
683/5.7 block that was a crate motor
unknown cam, flat tappet (I am assuming crate motor cam)
810 heads that are getting replaced.
Large Dia runners (forget brand, all solid cast)
Stock TB
OBD2 (thanks to thread on here)

Going back too:
683 block (keeping same)
Vette heads,unported, SS valves, Ti locks/retainers
Large Dia runners
Stock TB
OBD2

Wild guess since I dont know what cam, but should it work ok with the vette heads? Guy said he was running .522 with no problems. Or should I replace my cam while I'm partway there? I'm on a VERY tight budget.

New heads dont have rockers. Guessing my 810 rockers will work fine?

Also thinking of going to a vette base intake so that I can plumb up an external electronic egr for my OBD2 system. Anyone tried this?
