intake manifold removal problems

Hi all...I am trying to get the intake manifold off but the stupid torx bolts are seized. It is just two of them right at the front of the manifold. I sheared off one T45 already and twisted the other one. Any suggestions. It has been soaking in WD40 for a day and still won't budge. I am getting ready to just drill them out but I wanted to salvage them so I can include them with the manifold when I go to sell it.

PB Blaster kicks the crap out of WD-40.
Kroil kicks the crap out of PB Blaster.

Couple any of them with an impact wrench and you should be golden.

Re: intake manifold removal problems

Buy a torx bit that's meant to be used with air tools. They're made from harder steel, and don't twist/shear so easily. Also, they might actually be T47, it's an oddball torx size that only GM seems to use.

Re: intake manifold removal problems

also take a steel rod place on/or into the Bolt head and Give it a med tap with a Hammer.. this should work..always Make sure it's the right size.
tool.. even if it's a ford tool.
