Possible heat soak warmer weather questions?
I have experienced on a few occasions that if the weather gets a bit warmer, my car does not accelerate as hard and smooth for a couple of days than it normally does. If the temperature remains warm for a few days, things improve. It seems that it takes a bit of driving before the computer relearns what the optimal conditions for making power is. Is this normal, or do I have a sensor that may not be responding quickly enough to changes?
Also, how much power do TPI's loose if the engine becomes heat soaked. I can tell a significant difference in performance?
I am asking this because yesterday the weather here in St. Louis became a bit warmer and I started to notice these hick ups in performance. The car also seemed to stumble a little when I would get on it. The coolant temperature never exceeded 180*, but when I stopped and opened the hood, the engine seemed pretty hot.
Later on in the evening, when things cooled down, the car went back to running flawlessly.
This is the 91 formula with the mods in my signature. Any comments / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Possible heat soak warmer weather questions?
No it really shouldnt be affected by heat soak that much. I mean It will lose a little when not but should not be much at all. And should not cause running problems or "hiccups." There are potential problems like a temp sensor thats not reading accurately or ignition control module thats prone to issues with heat soak but all thats just wild guesses without some actual troubleshooting. My first qeustion would be any check engine codes?
