Thinking About Custom Air Intake...
Well I'm looking to make some more power for my 350, and I'm thinking about making a custom air intake out of stainless tubing and a simple cone air filter. I've searched this board a lot, but I can't find anything about the MAF sensor in the stock plastic intake tubing. Do you guys just eliminate it somehow or is there a simple way to mount it into a custom air intake?

theres a few threads about modifying the maf. I've seen some one make a 4in maf using a stock 3rd gen one. Also some people just get a 4th gen LS1 maf and just get a maf translator and install that, but the most common swap is going to SD (speed density) which eliminates the maf altogether...

stainless steel istn't what you want to use, it retains heat! If you are going to do it you should use thin gauge aluminum.
