Ok, here are the parts, Anything i need to know before I swing wrenches?
Rebuilt shortblock w/ std bore no decking
ZZ4 heads with screw in 3/8 studs
LPE 211/219 cam
crane energizer roller rockers 1.5 3/8 Non aligning
Steel guideplates from SUMMIT
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G6450/
stock '89 L98 pushrods
Fel-pro 7733PT2 Head gaskets
I know about using either S/A without guides, and guide with non align type, but if I add the guides to the studs will the pushrod make up the difference in throw? I figure what 1/8-3/16 inch.
Do I need a longer pushrod for the thickness of this headgasket. How can I tell? Looking forward to lighting off next week. thanks
