Hex Hardware VS Torx Hardware. WHICH DO YOU GUYS PREFER?
I'm gonna be buying some new top end bolts soon. It's between the hex 124pc set off ebay for $35 OR the torx 40pc set from arkansaspolishing.com.
So it all comes down to do you prefer hex head or torx head...
I'm stuck on the fence guys, input would be great!

I'd say thats your decision but if the company your considering off ebay is alloyboltz find someone else because only half are the correct size and the coating flaked off completely within about a year. and they arent stainless like they advertise.

I HATE torx bolts. If I were you, I'd look for the allen head bolts...

I went with stainless allens because I have long allen keys to get the lower bolts in easier and with less risk of damaging the runners.
Got mine from MMS. The TPI basic kit, button head allen unpolished for $51 The only bolts I had were intake mainfold to head, I had ZERO bolts to put the intake together. That kit came with everything else I needed.

Go the hex.The better allen keys have a ball end which allows you access at a angle to the bolt head which the Torx don't

I like Stage 8 bolts, very nice at keeping things tight...so basically I vote hex.

I buy hex grade 8 stainless steel bolts from Grainger.
I use Torx, but not on the engine.

I messaged alloyboltz and he said they are a polished stainless steel and promises that they will never flake and if they do he will refund me %100. So I guess i'll buy that 124pc hex hardware from him.

When you get them see if you can pick them up with a magnet, if they are true stainless steel you wont be able to.

Re: Hex Hardware VS Torx Hardware. WHICH DO YOU GUYS PREFER?
So in case anyone is curious, I decided to buy the 124pc Polished Stainless Steel Hex Bolts from AlloyBoltz off of eBay. So far they have held up great, not to mention the look sweet too!
