maf question

I hae a 350 tpi out of an 89 camaro and i want to install a cold air kit but the bulky bosch maf is making it difficult to get a clean look. Can i do anything to eliminate need for maf or i their a kit that works well with it? I see many tpi motors with cold air kits and no maf in site so there must be a way. All help is appreciated. Thanks
Danny

The ones you are seeing are '90 -'92 engines with MAP sensor so no MAF sensor on intake.
Would require computer change and some rewiring

Re: maf question

why do you want a cold air intake, you already have one with the stock setup. Cut out the baffles under the air lid, and either build or buy the air boxes from hawks third gen parts. I did that with my car and putting down 476hp and 496tq at the motor. Removing the maf is just to much of a hassle
