I want to do any free mods i can to gain some more performance. I know smog removal doesnt improve performance but ive done that already. Ive heard of the airbox mod ofr camaros but what can i do on my trans am. Any free mods i can do would be greatly appreciated please describe what you would do for these mods. Thanks..

 

You can do every free mod in the book and gain absolutely nothing you'll feel in the drivers seat. If you want to feel a difference, look into real mods like exhaust, heads, cam, intake, and power adders.

Oh my....... free mods..... Nothin in this world comes free...... Most of us have spent thousands upgrading our Thirdgens.

I think that I have to agree with the above statement that you probably wouldn't feel most of the free upgrades....

1) I did the cold air ducting from under the nose with that white dryer tubing routing it upto the airbox... Almost free
2) The throttle body coolant bypass is free....
3) De-screen your MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor) although some say that it's counter productive...
4) Porting your intake will cost sanding rolls....
5) Many Shift Kits are cheap (not free but almost), aggressive shifts will make your car feel stronger....

Once you're done with the free things, upgrade the;
1) Ignition
2) Exhaust. ie Headers and catback
3) Fuel Injectors with Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
4) Tranny Work
5) Intake
6) Cam
7) Heads
8) Prom work (Comp Tuning)
9) Suspension stuff......
In that order...........You could do the suspension stuff after the tranny work if you don't wanna open the engine......it's all preference
