What's the best place and injector to get replacments for my 5.0tpi?
What's the best place and injector to get replacments for my 5.0tpi?
My '91 Trans Am is shot and it's causing me and my family all kinds of problems just for the fact that I have no transportation because of this. I took it to a shop and they tried to tell me that it was a vaccum leak with a clogged Catylitic converter so I replace the cat and PVC valve with every last penny I had left for the month. That did not fix a thing. The shop was wrong. I know it has to be fuel injectors. Here is my readings...
Chart explanation: OHMs reading - (Passenger side)Cylinder__Cylinder (Drivers side) - OHMs reading
16.6 - 8________7 - 11.6
3.9 - 6________5 - 16.1
16.1 - 4________3 - 14.7
10.7 - 2________1 - 15.3
Note: Cylinder 6 fluctated from 3.9 to 4.0, and Cylinder 3 fluctuated from 14.8 to 14.8.
Hot...
11.0 - 8________7 - 11.5
1.8 - 6________5 - 16.7
11.5 - 4________3 - 12.0
8.3 - 2________1 - 13.3
The readings were alot lower when it warmed up, and they were all over the place. None of them were within .5 like I heard someone say in a youtube tutorial.
I think I'll need 19lbs since I only have a 5.0L 305ci w/TPI with a 2.73 rear gear.
So my question to you guys is, what is the best and most cost efficiant way to replace them? Where can I get the best deal to replace the originals so my car actually runs normal again and I have reliable transportation?

Southbay has a better deal. Much better price and do seem to have great service. Aren't they exactly the same fuel injector?
Being a board sponser is also a huge plus... considering how helpful the board is for everyone, whether for meet ups or troublshooting repairs among other things.
