Superram clearance issues

I am having issues with the plenum on my superram. It doesn't have enough clearance at the windshield wiper motor on my 91 GTA to bolt up to the runners. Does anybody have a solution for this?

Re: Superram clearance issues

Hey, if you check out the alternative intake section, i.e. HSR SR MR, there are a TON of threads about the SR and their issues. I believe many people have tackled this very problem and had success with it.

Re: Superram clearance issues

Here's what people don't know about their cars, the K-Member has a lot to do with how headers and the Super Ram fits. Some cars like mine, the K-member sits about 1/4 in to the left. In the Camaros you can tell 2 ways. 1st have you ever notice that the left front tire sits more inside the fender well than the right? If they are the same distance, you may have problems installing SR's and SLP Headers. 2nd have you ever notice that the throttle body to the snorkel are not straight in line? These are the main reason that some people have these problems.

If your motor mounts are sagging, this is one of your problems. If you install a poly transmission mount it will raise the trans about 1/4in an at the same time raise the back of the engine. This will give you the clearance you need.

Are you serious about the 1/4 offset? is that from factory?I thought my car at one point was possibly wrapped around a tree lol.
