Recommendations on engine harness
The engine harness on my Camaro is burnt in a few spots
Car wont start, so im planning on pulling the harness, id like to throw a new engine harness in there, but no luck finding any new ones.
I suppose I could patch it up, but throwing 20 year old wire back in just doesent seem right especially with all the work of removing the old harness.....
So where can I buy a new harness for my 1990 350TPI IROC?
Or am I stuck repairing what I got, or getting a used harness.

Thought painless only had universal harnesses to add TPI to older cars, id like a direct replacement.
If they make a direct replacement, then throw me the part number because I havent been able to find it.

it doesn't look universal to me... there are two part numbers the only difference is the cheapest one has a 4 foot length while the higher priced one has an 8 foot length from the back of the intake to wherever...
You will also need this one, which controls the charcoal canister and other emissions crap..

well yeah it does seem steep, but you at least have the ease of mind that it's from a reputable company, and that you are getting good quality material... there might be other companies that are reputable by the word of TGO members, so lets see what members have to say...
... I think I might go with this harness when I do my FI conversion... my current carb harness is toast... connectors are all broken and wires are practically peeling.. I guess that's what happens to 23 year old wires..

Re: Recommendations on engine harness
Well I talked to painless, they dont make a replacement harness. They said the TPI harnesses they sell are for adding a tpi motor to an older car.
So im outta luck there :\ lol
