gasoline evap canister

So i broke one of the feed lines into the evap canister. I was trying to move it closer to the radiator cause i was making my CAI and i broke of the nipples trying to take the hose off. Anyway to replace just the top? Do i really need this? Or whats a way i can costume make one and mount it somewhere else?

Really need an input or opinions please? Ive read a lot of other threads on this item. I know you dont need it but its recommend to keep fuel evap pressure down as well as vent the fumes out of the engine bay. any input guys?

For california smog you need that canister you can try threading a brass hose nipple into it seal it with silicone i have fixed them that way before.

It doesn't have to be in that spot you can move it anywhere you wont just make the lines longer.

I can see your point with the nipple. My question is will thy restrict the flow of the vapors into the canister. The actual diameter will now be smaller due to the size of the wall on the outside of the nipple.
