Loss of vacuem

Well, I installed a TPI set-up from an 89 IROK on my carb'd 350, 70's vintage. Has a TH$)) trans. It runs great, but my brakes don't work as well, and the shift points on the trans are much higher. I'm going to take readings tonight, but is this normal ? My cam isn't stock either, may contribute to the problem. I gave the cam specs to the ECU reprogrammer, he mentioned something about vacuem being different. Did any of you run into this ? I need a vacuem cannister maybe ? Thanks in advance, Alex

Re: Loss of vacuem

Well, My cam is definately the culprit. Aside from changing it out there are 2 options. Install a vacuum pump, or the route I'm going to take, a hydro boost system. I have one lined up out of a late 90's Chev. pick-up.
