Time to start planning out motor upgrade.
OK folks, I'll list out what I want to go with and you fill in the gaps or slap me with a trout if I'm way off. The * indicates what I have now.
Vortec heads
1.6 RR
Cam???
Vortec TPI manifold ported to match the runners
AS&M Large tube runner*
Plenum ported to large tube runners*
52MM BBK TB*
24LB SVO inj*
BBK AFPR*
underdrive pullies*
Edelbrock TES headers*
3" catback to flowmaster 80*
150 shot NOx*???
I'm not looking for a drag strip monster, just something fun on the roads.
This is all going in an 87 TA with a 700r4 and Borg Warner 9 -bolt with 3.27s.
I can get the heads for $450, less if i can find some junkers to use as cores.
TPI intake for $500 with shipping or less if i can find used.
I'm hoping to keep everything under $1500.
I also have the equipment to burn a new prom, just not the know how to do it.

Hi Dr, I just pickup up a used vortec 5.7 long block(free) in need of a rebuild and have recently been doing a lot of research. I've been looking at

also http://sdparts.com/details/scoggin-d...nter/sd360vtpi look at the specs of the motor and the hp/tq numbers.
also http://www.camaroperformers.com/cama...all/index.html for more engine parts specs.
atilla's numbers are amazing. the other 2 are pretty good too.
