TPIS big mouth intake gasket question

I just wanted to know about the gasket for this intake will the stock TPI gasket run the same or do I have to order a special gasket?

Re: TPIS big mouth intake gasket question

It's been a few years since I got mine, but it seems to me that they sent gaskets with it. So if you order it, and if you've got time to wait 'til it arrives to see if gaskets are included, then don't order any gaskets yet because I think they'll be included.

Well that's a good point but I already have the intake, I had to remove the intake to remove the heads for some spring up grades for this ZZ4 cam swap I went with, but like I said I need to replace the old gasket but will the original TPI gasket work on this?

At most, you'll need to get out the x-acto knife and trim them a bit but stock ones will work.

Re: TPIS big mouth intake gasket question

Hi Guys,

TPIS hand ports the intake before shipping.

Just tell them what intake port size (1204, 1205, etc.) you are running.

Yes, gaskets are included.

Best Regards,

Bruce

Base to head gaskets are included. However base to runner gaskets are not.
Stock gaskets will work, you just put them on and trim them with a rotary tool and sanding drum.
Very easy to do.

Re: TPIS big mouth intake gasket question

Yeah I've been aware of the runners, I've got a set of big mouth runners and I know I need to send off to get those gaskets because the stock runners gaskets won't work on them. Thanks I kind of though about just trimming the gaskets if I needed to but I just wanted to make sure hey by the way will the LT4 springs fit L98 heads? Dose anyone know? I need to make sure before I send for them this ZZ4 cam has a lift of .510, will these springs do?
