1991 z28 5.7 tpi

My car started running like crap. It will die when I put it in gear if I dont give it gas during take off from park to drive. On going down the road it kind of shudders until I let off the gas. It shifts thru its gears and even chirps the tires a bit but its rough. I have put in new plugs and wires cap and rotor , coil ignition, module. I only use 93 octane gas in him. What do you think is going on?

What is the timing at? Did it do this before you changed the plugs and wires, you may have crossed a wire so check the firing order. Does it get better once the car warms up?

Re: 1991 z28 5.7 tpi

I did find that the header melted one spark plug wire. We changed it and performance is almost back where it should be but still a little shake as it gets to around 40 mph. It goes away if I really get into it hard and It runs smooth as can be 70 and 80 mph. engine temp doesnt seem to make a diff. It was running rich but seems ok now. any ideas?
