wiring issues.
wiring issues.
rabbits decided to eat injector wiring & a few other really important things- in 3 out of the 5 third gens we have. im only really concerned with the iroc. it's the only 350tpi on the property so i don't have anything to reference.
im not mechanically inclined, i just do body work. so, most the wiring my dad was able to figure out. except, there are 2 wires on the left side(if your sitting in the car) of the plenum down where the injectors plug in that i have no idea where they go. nor can i find a good diagram to help me out.
the cars been sitting for years & has problems as is. it will idle rough, then shoot up like it's excelerating itself, and then go back down immediately& repeats this. im mainly just concerned about the wiring if anyone can help me out, or is mechanically inclined & at least point me in the right direction i'd appreciate it.
thanks.

What year is the car, and it would help if you could post a pic of the wires.
Re: wiring issues.
it is an 89 iroc 350tpi. ill work on the pics. i hate not being able to just copy&paste. anyway. one wire is green and comes out of the fuel rail?... wherever the injectors are, however-it's not an injector. it's got like a white cap connecting it to the rail. tried to get it off, didnt wanna break it though.- then its wire stems out, pretty long. my 305tpi(91) shows it going way beneath the plenum, but im not the size of an ant and cant track it down. the other wire isnt from the same place. it's to the left of the plenum(if you're in the car) and it's stemming from a brass thing- which of course i can't locate what the heck it is in chiltons. they apparently didnt make michelle(fool) proof ones. the part looks like a big injector..hah..but im not sure what it is. this wire is a white-ish gray. my z28 also shows it leading under the plenum, beneath the egr valve it seems. i don't regconize either of these wires being connected w/ the egr though. that i have had to change before. idk if that makes any sense.
thanks,
michelle.
thanks,
michelle.

Thats either the o2 sensor, or the temp guage sending unit. Those are the only 2 wires I can think of that are in that area.
I'm leaning towards guage sender, because that wire was green in my '89 and my '86 as well.
