SLP CAI and Granatelli MAF questions - 89 L98

I just got an SLP CAI off of ebay - it also came with a granatelli MAF. I figure at least the CAI should be an improvement.

First, it didn't come with the screws that connect the air tube to the intake box. There are 4 holes for screws and inside the box there are metal pieces going across each hole. I was wondering how it came new. (yeah I could just put anything in but this thing cost me!)

Also I noticed the air tube from the TB to the MAF is a little torn. These tubes have metal plates in them otherwise they look stock. I guess the metal plates improve air flow?? I was wondering if my original tube was just as good.

Then there's the Granatelli MAF. I tried that first with the stock intake and it ran with no codes until I drove it - kept stalling. I see it's adjustable but I searched the boards and there's no info on how to adjust and I see some think it's not worth the trouble but I figure if it flows better it's worth it.

any info??

thanks,
-Dan

Put a stock maf in it, sell the granatelli, or toss it in the trash.
