Mildly retarded, could use some help

I'm sure this has been posted but I wasn't able to find it. I'm buying a new engine for my GTA. The engine blurb states that a carb and intake must be added. I don't want to carb it , I want to put my existing TPI back on there. Is there any thing special I need to do or can I just bolt on all the TPI gear in place of the intake for the carb?

Like I said....I'm mildly retarded.

yes you can. just depends on 86-below and 87 and up. 4 center intake bolt are at a diff. angle.

Be sure to also check the cam specs. What might be a really neat lope at idle with a carb could make a TPI idle/run like sh_it. An LSA of 112 or greater and duration at .050 of less than 230 is a good general rule of thumb.

Cool. So I'll be swapping my parts from an 89 GTA the general rule of thumb that you pointed out sems to be what this engine is running. As far as cam specs...I have no idea, (I am mildly retarded), but if that were not correct, can you swap out a different cam?
