Hi guys,
I was thinking of getting a Comp Cam and I was wondering if you guys could help recommend me one.
I use my car just on the street about half and half highway/street (my cousin says he might start taking me to the track every once in a while) and I want something that's kinda loud when it idles. I'm thinking the Comp Cam ***** Thumpa but I'm not sure what one.
Any advice is very appreciated.

 

Well a cam dosent really make the car idle "loud". Looks like your looking for something mild, as you said you would like to keep it very street friendly and be able to drive on the highway. Also do you have a auto or stick? If you get to wild with the cam in a auto, it wont want to come to a stop light and idle very well if you get to carried away.. You could always give Comp Cam a call and they will recommend a cam specifically for your application and what you expect out of your car. Unless your looking to have a 10 second car, start with a cam that isnt to radical but you have room to play. If you feel like you want more out of your car, then look into heads or getting your current heads ported and polished. There is alot of things you can do to make power and torque without spending big $$$.
