350 tpi internal strength
i want to take the intake system off the L98 and put a carb setup on, and i was wondering how high of an rpm can i operate at to be safe and drive daily and occasional strip use and i want to put a cam in also but im unsure of which one

If your engine is relatively low milage, your valve springs are in good shape, a typical sbc is good to about 6000. If you aren't sure how good the bottom end is, then be careful.
There are two limiting factors, rod bolts and valve springs. Some people say a 350 can go higher than 6000. With good rod bolts (ARP) and good valvetrain you can go higher.
