My '91 305 TPI dies randomly while driving it. After letting it set for 10-20 minutes, it always restarts. Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

Sounds dumb, but check the battery cables. When my brother first bought his 91 camaro (which is the one I now have) we were driving it around town. When we got to a bumpy road the car kept dieing. Turns out a battery cable was loose. My other brother also just had this happen in his truck. He sat on the side of the road for over 3 hours waiting for me to go look at so that in the end I could tighten the clamp up.
I will double check them...it would be nice if that is all it is but I don't think I am that lucky. Three of the five times it has died on me has been while it was idling at a stop light. I was wondering if it could be the ECM?

When it dies, does it cut out clean or does it stumble for a second or two then die?
It usually happens relatively quickly without any advanced notice. When it did it a couple of days ago, I did notice it cut out once before dieing. It almost seems like something gets hot and once it cools down it is good to go again.

when it dies do you still have power like radio or lights?
my 92 has been doing this and i noticed that my fuel pump is cutting off randomly, usually after 5 mins or so it will come back on. Im not getting power to the 12v line to the fuel pump relay when this happens
next time it happens if you have power turn you key from off to on and listen to see if your fuel pump primes, mine doesnt

Sounds like a bad ignition control module
I was able to find the problem. Basically the entire bottom half of the distributor was bad including the pick up coil. There was a lot of corrosion in the distributor. Its running good now. Thanks for all the suggestions.
