Engine Issues
Well, since my last post, I have done a few things and got my motor running better and my gas mileage up, but I am having some tricky issues.
1. The old pcv valve made LOTS of noise. I bought a new one, and put it in, to only have the same issue. Pop the pcv valve out, and its fine. With it in, my motor refuses to idle as well. Now, I also seem to have the wrong valve covers on, because the passenger side and driver side has pcv valves, or is that correct for these motors.
2. I have a horrible idling issue, weather pc valve is in or not. my car will NOT idle in gear. It lurches, and trys to take off. It is like trying to ride an unbroke horse. It just ain't happening.
3. Ive got some vaccum issues on the car. Some are hooked up, some aren't. So, if someone has a picture of an engine bay with all the vaccum stuffs hooked up, it would be appriciated. A MAF 350 TPI engine btw. I have seen the schematic of what it should be, but I work better with photos.
Now, would I be wrong in thinking that these problems are linked?

Re: Engine Issues
Your pvc is going to rattle, that means it's working. As for vacuum leaks, that's a major problem and will create all kinds of running issues. How is the pvc on the passenger side hooked up? You should only have one. There are some lines under the plenum to the throttle body, one to the egr, one to the fuel pressure regulator, one to the brake booster, etc. It would take some good pictures to get them all.

Oh, I don't mean rattle, I mean full on whistle. You can hear it a block away.
As for the one to the passenger side, it is hooked up to a hose that runs to the front of the throttle body. I can't feel it pulling any vaccum.
Yeah, I didn't think of how many pictures it would take. I'll just work with the schematic.

Re: Engine Issues
If you have a whistle you have a leak, the pass. side should be hooked-up right. By the way, i hope there is no valve on the passenger side, should be just a hose to the throttle body.
