MAF burn off module from '85 ok with '87?

I have a 1985 MAF burn off module, p/n 14080620 and am wondering if this module will work for my 1987 TPI with ecm# 1227165? I am trying to figure out the wiring with this module that has 6 wires coming out of it... these I cannot identify and would like help because my wiring diagram isn't giving me colors only numbers. Does anyone know how to turn these ckt#'s into color codes for wiring?

Sorry, that module cannot be used on an '87.
The '85 ECM has a large module attached to it on the outside that is the Burn Off Module referred to as the "MAS". The "MAS" is replaced in the '86-'89 years with a pair of regular relays and logic contained within the ECM.

You can if you use the '85 ECM. Really, I don't think you'd want to do that.

if the 85 module is good, sell it...you'll be able to afford more than just the relays for your 87.

alright!! don't need this module....know anybody who wants to buy it??!! I'll put it on ebay, cause that's where I found it... I already have the MAF power relay and the separate burn off relay, I was confused to the wiring with my '87 camaro wiring diagram not showing a burn off module, only a burn off relay...that explains is all! Love these fourms and you guys who reply are great...thanks!

I was wondering if you still have that burn off module? I'd love to buy it from you!

Re: MAF burn off module from '85 ok with '87?

I still have the '85 Bosch burn off module p/n 14080620. I would like $150 + $5 shipping. I also have '85 Bosch MAF sensor, p/n 14081243, since the '86-'89 MAF sensors are also different. Would like $125 + $10 shipping for it if you know anyone interested. You may email me @ troyskibert@yahoo.com or call me@ 530 877-7944 and can send a money order or pay me via paypal. talk to you soon!
