I posted a thread about this a few days ago, but found what is in the pics today. When I start my camaro it goes to wot, when I press the gas it idles. It's an '87 Iroc 305 manual. I found what looks like something is missing today and wondering what it is and where it runs from so I can track it down if its still on the car.

 

The little "nub" you have circled in the top photo is where the TV cable for an automatic transmission hooks up.

The hole in the bracket you circled in the lower photo is where the transmission TV cable mounts.

My guess is that you have a vacuum leak someplace.

 

are the cables hooked up backwards somehow? doesn't look bad but verify the the throttle cable has enough slack to hook up to the throttle lever without pulling on it. the throttle cable and the tranny cable have to mount on opposite ends of the throttle lever. Looks like the tranny cable needs to go on the top peg.

 

One is throttle and one is CC.

 

disconnect both and try it. If it still does it there might be something goofy about the TB or the IAC. The one with the long slot looks just like a TH350 kickdown cable.

 

Disconnect the cable for the cruise control for further testing. The CC unit may be malfunctioning.

 

**FIXED**

I am officially an idiot. There was a leak because i bolted the EGR electric wire between the runner and TPI base plate. Thanks for the help in checking other things though.
