E85 conversion on a 87 tpi
Ok guys hows it going, long time no see. i recently started putting together this new project on my 87 ta tpi. doing build up on the whole top end. discussions came up and i think i might want to try and convert to e85, plus a station about 5 mins from me carries e85 now. it works out good bc i had to put a hault on the project bc i bought a 2010 camaro. as im saving up again i want to sort out what i need to do. Here is my setup:
1. new alum cyl heads from afr running about 10.1-10.5:1 comp
2. big mouth manifold from tpis
3. big mouth runners from tpis
4. 52 mm throttle body from tpis
5. comp cams XR269HR/ 08-502-8
my stainless steel fuel lines already in place and summitracing tech line says they can run e85 as well as methanol and nitromethane.
I need new injectors bc of the upgrades so i figured i would probably get e85 compatible ones before i go out and get any. Any recommendations? what lb/hr?
and then the fuel pump, man i know this spot of the car like its the back of my hand. is there any e85 compatible pump that someone makes that is an electric in tank pump for our cars? and fuel filter as well?
thanks for your help or just shoot me a pm

takes nearly twice as much alcohol as gas for the same power, so id make sure you over size things a bit.
Though get ready for a price hike, Gov is dropping the paid support for alcohol, just has to pass the house n prez desk now. That 65cent kick back per gal they get will surley cost .75+ more on the price per gal of alcohol gas products.

In some states you can get a waver for your emissions inspection because E-85 is considered an alternative fuel vehicle just looked it up for NC
