cant find oil leak(Help)
Alright my car is giving me a run around for my money.its a 92 camaro rs wit the 305tpi 5speed.don't know abt miles stoped working at 144k..it has a oil leak I believe on the passenger side cause it leaks on my starter that I just put on last night wit new oil&filter.its been leaking since November I believe.the driver side of the engine is clean so not lwakin on that side.I don't think its the rear main seal cauae the stater is higher then it and oil is on the starter..is there anything on that side of the engine that could be leaking oil..recently I had the tpi off to change injectors and replaced starter..I clean the bottom of the engine last night pretty good so I could see where the oil is coming from but that didn't help cause still can't see where its leaking.even took the starter and replaced the knock sensor..thanks for any help

Re: cant find oil leak(Help)
valve cover gaskets would be my guess. If that's it replace with rubber gaskets, they work best with the centerbolt valve covers.
Re: cant find oil leak(Help)
Valve cover due to faulty or eroding gasket. My car is having the same problem and I didn't finally discover what it was until about 3 months ago. I've had my leak since September of 2009 but that's about to get fixed here in the next month hopefully. Just make sure to keep oil in your car okay? That's my best advice for your engine's health until you get the gasket replaced.

I have gotten it down to the rear intake.the dizzy oring&gasket what ever it takes.and one of the stater bolts..I have seen treads where people had oil leaks wit the bolts..its not the rear main seal for sure or valve covers either...
