Flat tappet cam&lifters with L98 heads?

Car: 1987 IROC-Z Camaro
Engine: LB9 305, edelbrock intake.
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt, 3.73 posi w/ disc brakes
Flat tappet cam&lifters with L98 heads?
I had a old L98 in my garage with a hole blown through the block. I took the heads off and they look to be in good shape. I have a L98 TPI setup and the works but my question is that I have a Lunati cam W/lifter set that is flat tappet. I know that the L98 heads are for a roller cam setup. Can both be used together at all or am I looking at getting a roller cam W/roller lifters?

I'm using L98 (083 casting) with a flat tappet cam.. I went all out with some Harland sharp 1.5 roller rockers, too.
