TPI manifold problem

i bought this set up last year and had it in storage till this weekend. i took it out to clean it up as i was planning to use it on the convertible. i discovered a hole in the manifold as pictured below. can this be repaired or is the manifold trashed? im wondering if i can repair this with jb weld. it was originally a rusty spot.

its in the back on the passenger side next to the distributor. any ideas or help with this?

Re: TPI manifold problem

The manifold is made of aluminum and can be welded. That looks like where the rear water cross over would be if there was one. Not a big deal to fix it. Find a local welder who does aluminum.

Re: TPI manifold problem

its more like corrosion. being aluminum i figure i can get it fixed. i disassembled the whole assembly to clean it and that was the worst of what i found.

Re: TPI manifold problem

Before going through the trouble of welding up that hole, go over the manifold thoroughly and make sure all the threaded holes are sound, the sealing surfaces are flat, etc.
