idle air control valve delete?

idle air control valve delete?
so i was wondering if theres away to do this or a by-pass, i have changed this thing more than once and i cant get the idle nailed down, my friend told me he built a block off plate for his on a 5.0 mustang and said it worked fine any thoughts?

the idle air control valve is the ECM's way of controlling the idle speed. The ecm changes the idle speed based on coolant temp, AC on or off, park or neutral, etc. If you unplug it I think you'll get a check engine light. I'd recommend fixing the problem correctly and leaving the IAC in place.

Have you messed with the minimum air adjustment at all? If you have, it probably needs to be re-adjusted correctly.

These types of valves/sensors are on the car for a reason. Get them working right and your car will become more reliable than ever. Throwing parts out because they may need to be simply cleaned or reset makes no sense
