I have a 88 tans am with a 5 speed with many upgraded parts and i want a little more power... My question is can i run a 50 shot of nos to get a little more power without causing bad problems with my motor...I dont plan onm using it very much but would like to have it if i need it...Please give opinions on what you think b4 i order my NOS kit....Thanx John

 

I have had a 150hp shot on my stock 88 IROC tpi 305 for 15 years with no problems. The motor now has a 104k with still full compression. Just make sure you run a wet kit like the NOS 5151. You have problems with the dry kits. 50hp shot is to small and you will barely notice it. Start with a 100 shot. I don't even think you can buy a 50hp kit for tpi.

 

I tried looking online for a nos 5151 kit but i cant really find a real place in ther usa...Does any one know of someone that is selling a used set up that i could buy...if so pm me

yea i found quite a few different places after i found out the part number was 05151... looks like its something im gonna order next week...I found this one on ebay item number 370185859728 its brand x is this simialar to the 05151 or different.. no big deal if the 05151 is better ill just get that one...Just wondering

Look closely there is no throttle body plate just some chessy spray nozzle that I am guessing they will tell you punch a hole in the intake track to insert. On a MAF car I would always run a plate system!! Get the NOS kit!

 

ok one more ?... I found a buddy that has a Nos Sniper kit number 07005nos... he doesnt want much for it but he has a few xtra jets and some other parts for it...Is this a kit i could use or should i just stop trying to save money and get the kit above that you mentioned

 

You want to blow up your MAF sensor and intake track use the sniper kit. It's the same junk with no plate for the throttle body. It's cheap for a reason.
