TPI swap, harness help needed
Hey everyone! I got a complete 1990 camaro tpi intake, harness, ecu and the rest of the car. So I have modded the intake to fit a classic SBC and now I'm doing the harness. I wand to eliminate everything that I don't want or need off the harness to make the engine run and shortin it so I can mount the ecu I'm the engine bay on the fire wall inside a box I made. So I want to cut off everything off except the tps, iac, ats, cts, map, knock sensor, distributor and coil wires ect and delete the vss, vats and all somg, ac and other none engine management related systems. A diagram would be awsome please help.

Re: TPI swap, harness help needed
In order to disable VATS you need to burn a new chip, because even if you cut that part, the ECM will still try to look for it, and it will never start.
Re: TPI swap, harness help needed
Do you intend to use the TCC lock up function on the transmission ie 700R4 or even have an automatic??? If so and if you intend to keep that functional you will have to keep the VSS, if not carry on. FYI
