Air pump removal, sensors?

I am planning to remove the air pump. There is only one belt for this pump so that isn't a issue.
But wat about the wiring, there are two smal conectors on the housing with two i think pressure sensors.
Just disconnect or ??

The engine is a 305 tpi

Re: Air pump removal, sensors?

If you leave te tubes on the manifolds and just remove the rubber lines from the check valves, you can get a standard NPT plug from plumbing section at hardware store to replace the check valves with (like a 3/8 NPT maybe).

I'm not sure what folks use when they remove the tubes from the manifolds - maybe just smaller NPT plugs (like a 1/4 NPT maybe).

Re: Air pump removal, sensors?

I just removed the pump etc. Those tubes are hard to remove from the manifolt.
I am planning to build a complete new stainless dual exhaust system so headers will be placed. Any suggestions what will fit on a 305 tpi?

Almost any V8 SBC header will wit the motor - but you need 3rd gen specific headers to fit the car.
