I can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong with this car. It feels like it's running on 6 cylinders- very rough and stumbling. It died altogether, and wouldn't start no matter what I did about a month ago. After letting it sit for a month, I changed the ignition module, and when starting it back up- everything seemed great! I go to start it today, and it was a long crank, followed by rough, terrible running, just like it did in the past. I did notice however, that inside the distributor, there was some rust, and that metal ring/shield/whatever it's called which covers the pickup coil is very loose. Not sure if that could have anything to do with it though.

Check fuel psi and ohm check the injectors

Thank you for that suggestion. Turns out it WAS injectors. Ohms checked them, 1 ohmed at 10, another was 9, and a third was....2! (vs 16) Bought a remanufactured set of Bosch III injectors from Fuel Injector Connection and put them in this weekend. What a difference, this is great. Terrific idle, and nice throttle response. Unfortunately, what they were telling me at FIC was the reason so many injectors started going at once was most likely due to the ethanol. The windings for the stock injectors are encapsulated in epoxy, which fuel does come in contact with. On this new ethanol gas, the alcohol is breaking down that epoxy, causing the injector to fail (much like with fiberglass fuel tanks in boats.) Guess we'll be seeing a rash of these types of issues
