car will crank but wont start PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
couple months ago i was driving and the tranny slipped in second so i drove in 2 and then i guess i hit the gas to hard and then there was just a pop noise i know my engine didnt blow because it still cranked and i have compression and theres fuel gettin to the fuel rails but my fuel pressure gauge only reads 5 psi and my fuel regulator makes a buzzing noise when the key is turned on and i got to the timing chain to see if it was that wasent but replaced it any way cause it was kinda lose but not enough to slip of the gears. do i not have any spark going to my engine or do i have a bad fuel pump. please help ive been trying to figure this out for a while. i want t get this beauty running. please i miss my iroc

Well the obvious thing to do is run down all of the "possible problems" and check them off as you go. Check the distributor(see if it spins when you turn the engine over), cap, rotor, coil, wires and plugs to rule out spark issues. Then check the fuel delivery system for clogs or weak pump. The last thing I would check is the computer since it controls everything.
I have had my rotor clip one of the posts in the cap and made me loose all spark. I have also had my computer crap out and do the same thing.

ok but how do i check for clogs in the fuel system and how can i see if the distributor spins when im cranking the engine

You have to pull the dizzy cap off and watch the rotor.
If you don't have some to turn the key while you watch, get a remote starter button from a parts store so you can turn the engine over while under the hood, a real handy tool to have.

a pop??? Could it be a slipped timing chain? If that is knocked out of whack it would cause some funny running symptoms.
Things that have cause my cars not to run.
1) Fuel Pump
2) Distributor
3) Bad fuse-able link
4) Distributor/Ignitiion Module
5) Bad Coil
6) Timing really off
There are a ton of possibilities,
If you have lo Fuel Pressure, then you might check your FP and FP relay too...
