Confused need help with runner match

Why are the small conector tubes on the runners pluged with RTV on my after market TPI runners?

Yes they both are not used.
Then will the old style 1986 TB and IAC breath thru the manifold and plenum with the tubes plugged. Frankly I do not clearly undersatnd the internal air flow thru the plenum. I read TB are difference for difference years. Any expaination will be appreciated.

The one on the driver's side is air for the cold start injector which normally is right below it on the base. The passenger side tube is for the EGR. The TB and IAC won't be affected by either of those tubes, just the cold start injector and the EGR. Are you using either?

NO not using CS or EGR. My confusion is the triangle port on the TB and the plenum that look like they are connected to common manifold area of the EGR and CS. Can not tell looking at it but will the mismatch of the plenum and base cause idle adj. problems. Motor is not assembled yet.

Re: Confused need help with runner match

Is is not possible to use an early year MAF TB and plenum with a later year MAP manifold. Is that the case and if so can you modify the 85-88 TB and plenum to work with an 89-92 manifold. No cold start or EGR is used.
