Newbie here....Need HELP?
I'll keep a long story as short as possible......I bought a 91 Z28 305. Its in good condition and runs well. It had the slightest bog that only i could feel when it stopped at lights. After lots of reading and research on here i did a tune up myself. Plugs (NGK V), Distributor Cap, Rotar and Coil, Plug Wires, and i tried to open the fuel filter it wouldnt budge and i didn't want to wreck the lines so i left. Oh and PVC valve.
It had more perk than before for sure and ran better the bog was almost gone. I decided to go for a longer drive and to open her up a bit. I noticed the tempurature guage was not working. I drove fine for to get to my destination. I turned the car off and then went i left 10 minutes later it was bogging bad, i limped it home and cant figure it out. The back end was bouncing when i would accelerate. The only other things I touched was inj.2 fuse in the fuse box, and fuel pump fuse so i could try the fuel filter replace.
Can you guys give me a list of things to check.
- possible fuel pump failing and i caused it by starting car with fuse pulled
- Disconnected something when doing plugs and stuff temp guage maybe?
- Bad plug or failling injectors
thank in advance,

Re: Newbie here....Need HELP?
Sounds to me like a fuel problem, so start with the filter then go to the pump and injectors. Use a wrench specifically made for fuel lines to remove it and it helps if you spray the fittings with penetrate (PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench, etc.) a while before you try to loosen it.
