custom intake on 88 IROC

Car: 88 IROC-Z
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 700R4-currently being mildly built
Axle/Gears: stock 2.73:( with limited slip
custom intake on 88 IROC
Has anyone done a custom intake on an IROC 305 that goes through the battery box after relocating the battery? I am trying this and would like to know what kind of hardware I'll need. The battery will be going in the spare tire compartment and I am not quite sure where to run the cables, But am thinking crossing them over and running them through the frame rail on the driver side, then jerry rigging them to the stock cables.
Anyone have any thoughts on doing something like that?
